The Wynn Boston Harbor is a planned five-star luxury resort and casino that will be located along the Mystic River in Everett, Massachusetts.  It will be conveniently located five miles from Boston’s Logan International Airport.  The $2 billion project is projected to be completed in 2019.  This 33-acre development is “the largest private single-phase construction project in the history of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.”  When completed, the Wynn Boston Harbor Resort will include: 24 above-ground floors, 3,400 parking spots, 629 luxury hotel rooms, two indoor gardens, a casino, six restaurants, a sports bar, a spa, convention spaces, and a strip of luxury retail stores.  In addition, the development will feature an outdoor public park and boardwalk.  Public amenities will include a picnic park, paths for bikers and pedestrians, viewing decks, waterfront restaurant, a performance lawn, and boat docks.

The owner, Wynn Resorts, named Suffolk Construction Company of Boston as the general contractor for the project.

Project Highlights

FC-CS is providing access control and worker tracking for the Wynn Boston Harbor Resort project.  The key requirements of this job were to measure labor compliance and a diverse workforce participation.  This is Massachusetts largest private construction project and FC-CS’s first with Suffolk Construction.  FC-CS worked closely with Suffolk to participate in a direct comparison of services, systems and capabilities with other access control providers.  FC-CS won with a unanimous vote and was able to being working on the first of what is hoped to be many projects together.
