Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center- David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care

New York City, New York

Memorial Sloan Kettering’s David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care, currently under construction, is a comprehensive cancer center that will provide outpatient care.  This outpatient facility is part of a complex that Memorial Sloan Kettering and The City University of New York/Hunter College are jointly developing.  Located on the Upper East Side, the new building will be approximately 1,150,000 gross square feet (750,000 for Memorial Sloan Kettering).  The outpatient center will be 23 stories high and “provide the most advanced cancer treatments in a dynamic space designed with the needs of patients firmly in mind”.  The new facility is named for David Koch, who has donated $150 million to Memorial Sloan Kettering for the project.

Construction for the new outpatient center began in May 2015 and is expected to be complete by 2019.  Turner Construction Company is the general contractor for the project and will be overseeing construction.
