Brickell CityCentre is a $1.05 billion mixed-use development. Strategically located in the center of the Brickell Financial District, this is the single largest project underway in downtown Miami. The project includes 9.1 acres along South Miami Avenue and will comprise over 5.4 million square feet for office, residential, hotel and entertainment space in addition to a two level underground parking garage that spans seven acres below the property. Selected by Swire Properties, Inc., the owner and developer of the property, Bouygues Construction and John Moriarty and Associates formed the Joint Venture Americaribe-Moriarty to manage the vertical construcion. With the project spanning 9 acres in the heart of an urban environment, jobsite access was a major concern. The joint venture contracted with FC-CS to provide jobsite access control – insuring that only properly authorized workers were allowed access. FC-CS utilized containerized half-height turnstiles equipped with RFID readers and turnstile actuation software. The containers will simplify relocation of access points as the project progresses. In addition to these access points, FC-CS provided mobile access portals for use at each vehicle gate.
