Badging

Description

Badging

A Photo ID badge is the end product of an effort. The issuance of a badge is tangible proof that an individual has successfully completed a vetting process and is now authorized access to a specific jobsite or project complex. The badge design can be as simple as a laminated, color photo badge with the wearer’s name or it can be a virtual storehouse of individual and project specific information.  Photo badges embedded with Radio Frequency ID (RFID) chips can be used as access control devices to open entrance and exit barriers as well as tracking devices to record times on and off the jobsite or even travel within the site.

Customized to the client’s requirements, ID badges can denote:

  • Name
  • Employer
  • Project
  • Trade/Profession
  • Skill Set(s) and/or Certifications
  • Authorized areas of access
  • Emergency Contact Information

Unique to FC-CS standard photo badging process is an automatic photo database search employing state-of-the-art facial recognition software to identify individuals who have been previously badged by FC-CS with a different name or ID number. This fail-safe feature is invaluable in protecting the integrity of the jobsite by not allowing access to individuals who have previously been identified as unacceptable due to personal shortcomings or safety or procedural infractions.  There is no additional cost for this service.

Copying may be the sincerest form of flattery in some endeavors but not in photo ID badging. All FC-CS badges are printed on hologram embedded card stock to prevent counterfeiting.

Badges embossed with Bar or QR Codes can be read with any smart phone which can then serve as a link to FC-CS or third party maintained databases providing detailed information about the subject’s work and safety history as well as permitted medical information such as allergies or special needs.
