Located in downtown Atlanta, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a retractable-roof, multi-purpose stadium that is currently under-construction.  This stadium will replace the Georgia Dome and become the new home of the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta United FC-CS.  This $1.4 billion project will total 2,000,000 square feet.  It will include 71,000 total seats; 190 luxury suites; 7,600 club seats; and 24 bars/restaurants.  The project will be complete by June 2017.  Equipped with the largest 360-degree HD video halo board in the world, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium is set to host the Super Bowl LIII in 2019.

The owner, Georgia World Congress Center Authority, has selected HHRM JV (comprising Holder Construction Co., Hunt Construction Group, H.J. Russell & Co. and C.D. Moody Construction Co.) to manage the stadium’s construction.

Project Highlights

FC-CS’s system was implemented when the project was forced to move to a cost plus scenario due to delays and changes in the complex and first of its kind roof design.  Mid-way though the job FC-CS was asked to implement its access control and worker tracking immediately.  FC-CS responded in record time, allowing the project to successfully keep track of worker headcounts and hours logged on the job.
