Detroit Events Center

The Detroit Events Center is an under-construction multi-purpose building that will replace the Joe Louis Arena and become the new home of the Detroit Red Wings.  The 785,000 square-foot facility will house the entire Red Wings practice facility, including an ice rink, locker rooms, and training facilities.  In addition, the 20,000-seat arena is designed to enhance fan experience by incorporating “gondola” seating, a video wall, a public plaza and a player walkthrough area. The $650 million catalyst development project also includes residential, retail, and office facilities in downtown Detroit.  The Detroit Events Center is set to open in September 2017.

The construction of the new events center will create approximately 8,300 jobs.  More than half of those construction jobs will be filled by Detroit residents, and over $100 million will be paid to Detroit-resident workers.

Selected by Barton Malow to provide jobsite access control and workforce reporting, FC Construction Services (FC-CS) is charged with securing the construction site, badging all workers and reporting daily on manpower levels and workforce statistics.  In providing these services, FC-CS will utilize its standard full height turnstiles to control pedestrian access and will utilize its newly launched mobile app, FC Jobsite to control vehicle gates, register and badge guests and provide job site access to the training and certification history of every worker.

Dallas County Shelter-In-Place Order: Information for Contractors
Dear FC Clients:

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic hour-by-hour to ensure operational continuity. At this time, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins has ordered a Shelter-In-Place for Dallas County effective Monday, March 23rd at 11:59 PM.

Per the order, all businesses operating within Dallas County, except Essential Businesses as defined in Section 2, are required to cease all activates at facilities located within Dallas County. Construction is considered an Essential Business and can continue operating. FC Construction Services provides services to Essential Businesses. We will keep our Dallas, Irving and Houston locations open for normal business hours:
